Teahupoo, Tahiti: I tend to overlook some gems when spending 6 months on the road. Whilst going through the 25,000 odd shots from the past journey I came across some brilliant images of Laird Hamilton Stand Up Paddle Boarding at Teahupoo in Tahiti that were shot last November.

With food prices doubling in the last year, the cost of flying helicopters and planes for humanitarian aid workers going ballistic (its too dangerous to drive) and continued attacks on the food transport vehicles across Darfur, there's not much hope to feed all the people in need. Since christmas alone there's been 60 attacks on the trucks, 49 of the trucks still missing along with 29 of drivers and one confirmed murdered.
MERLIN is a Non Governmental Organisation who supplies primary health services to the people in the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps. They are often the first humanitarian aid group to make it to a crisis region and will stay until local staff have been trained up to look after the clinics themselves.
